Want some good news?

Confidence is just a mindset, which means you can adopt it as your own. Even if you don’t feel confident right now, you can learn to feel confident through intentional practice over time.

If you’re anything like me, you love all things personal development. Give me all the mental hacks! I’m going to be superwoman one day, and even then I’ll want to keep learning and bettering myself. Are you coming with me?

Here are a few tricks I’ve tried to embrace confidence…

Set a clear direction for yourself.

Everyone should take a moment to identify their core values, their guiding purpose, and their passions. What’s your reason for waking up every day? This exercise will help you overcome self-doubt then gain confidence as a result.

Be honest with yourself and others.

Dishonesty doesn’t always take the extreme form of a lie, but might look like avoidance. When you’re honest with yourself and others about your dreams, your emotions, and your needs, you’ll feel confident expressing yourself.

Dismiss limiting beliefs.

Did you know that you are responsible for all the beliefs you have? That means you have the power to control your mind. By practicing positive thinking, positive self-talk, and generally celebrating all that you’ve done, the self-limiting beliefs will loosen their grip to make way for confidence.

Master the art of self-love.

You know I’m a self-love advocate. If you’re not caring for yourself in 2020, you’re going to be stuck in the #hustle. Self-love makes us feel good and when we feel good, it shows.

Overcome your fears.

What are you most scared of? Do you avoid it? You probably don’t need to. After you honestly identify what you want, dismiss self-doubt, and take time to make yourself feel good, I can bet you will be able to overcome even your worst fears. When you do, just watch the confidence settle in.
