Mindset Practices for Success
So many people spend too much time complaining and not dedicating enough time to mindset practices for success. We complain about our relationships, finances, careers, health—an endless list of things we aren’t happy with, but year after year keep living the same routine and feel disappointed with the same results. It’s a trap. It’s time to change our mindset.
I call the above hamster wheel a “fixed negative mindset.” It leaves you repeatedly receiving negativity because you attract negativity—terrible events, heartbreak, missed opportunities—into your life by the way of your mind. Say what?! This is no way to live.
It’s okay if you find yourself here, though. You can fix it.
The solution is simple in theory, but requires a lot of self-work. Are you ready to give this time to yourself to learn and grow? Here’s how to get started…
1. Journal
Writing your daily intentions and gratitude helps us learn to reflect on life from a positive perspective. It takes time to bring the same positivity you write in your journal to your day-to-day, but it comes with time.
2. Practice positivity
Positivity requires practice. With consistent effort over time, you’ll change the way you think about events, understand emotions, and choose to react. Specifically, pay attention to how your reactions impact your reputation. How do you present yourself in different situations? How do you approach life?
3. Affirmations
Affirmations trick your mind by literally reciting positive messages to yourself out loud. You are what you say, think, and feel. If you speak positivity, think good thoughts, and learn to appropriately react based on your feelings, slowly you will transform your mindset.
The shift from a negative to positive view on your life takes patience in the beginning and quite a bit more time than comfortable, but the rewards are plentiful. Building a strong mindset is how many successful female entrepreneurs reach the top without cracking under pressure. Speaking from the other side, I promise you it’s worth it.
Do you use any of the above practices? If you’re new to all this, do you have any questions? I’m always happy to help others learn how to find their version of daily happiness.
