There came a point where I had to be honest with m There came a point where I had to be honest with myself — alcohol wasn’t fun anymore. It wasn’t social. It wasn’t “just a drink.” It was unhealthy, it was something I leaned on, and at times, it was something I was addicted to. And it’s wild to stand here now… clear, and growing into someone I never thought I could be. No one talks about how isolating this journey feels. How the world keeps spinning around things you’re trying to break free from. How lonely Friday nights can get. How strong you have to be when no one sees the battle happening inside you. But here’s the truth I’m learning: Strength gets built in the quiet. Self-respect grows in the spaces where you choose yourself. And clarity is a kind of freedom I didn’t know I needed. I’m proud of this version of me — the one who said “enough,” the one who walked away, and the one who keeps choosing a life I don’t need to escape from. If you’re on your own journey… You’re not alone. You’re not weak. You’re not falling behind. You’re just becoming someone more powerful than you’ve ever been.
