Hey there, my fellow Work From Home Moms. I see you. I am you. I’m tired too. Ha!

How do we do it all? We don’t! That’s just a facade that you often see on Instagram. However, I am pretty good at this whole WFHM thing now, so I thought I’d share a few of my game-changing tactics with you because we could all use a little extra time in our days.

Time saved is time gained—that’s how the saying goes, right?!

Batch meals for weekdays.

Families spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I love to cook, but juggling my business, my son’s activities, daily home maintenance, exercise, eating well, seeing friends… you get it! It’s a challenge. I cook batches of healthy meals we can throw together quickly and get to the good stuff—having fun together.

Set a schedule for chores.

Who here can’t work from home when it’s messy? *raises hand*

One of the downfalls of working from home: Sometimes laundry, dust flecks that hit the light just so, and other general tidying to-dos distract us. I let go of small messes by setting a schedule for chores—I know I can do laundry on Wednesday, dust on Thursday, etc., and focus on work in between.

I clock in and out.

Yes, just for myself! As a WFHM, sometimes lines blur into thoughts of I can work whenever I want. While technically true, I like to sync my schedule with my family, which works best when I set hours and stick to them. I turn off all distractions and sink into my work knowing that when the clock strikes again, I can turn off business and dive into mom-mode full force. I’m more productive in both roles!
